Who are we?
Established in 1923, the Jersey Table Tennis Association (JTTA) serves as the governing body for our sport in Jersey and has been affiliated with the International Table Tennis Federation since 1935. We provide an inclusive and accessible environment for players of all ages and skill levels, fostering a community of athletes, enthusiasts and lifelong players.
Thanks to our success, we regularly field teams at UK and international competitions including Primary and Secondary Schools tournaments, Home Countries Junior and Senior tournaments, British League and Island Games with great success, continuing to prove that Jersey can punch well above its weight!
Not only do our members compete abroad successfully, we also showcase Jersey by hosting national and international events on the island, ranging from inter-insular competitions, to the annual Jersey Grand Prix bringing in more than 100 players to the island.
Why are we fundraising?
On November 1st 2023, the GRTTC suffered extensive damage during Storm Ciaran forcing us to secure alternative temporary venues with the support of Jersey Government, we will have to vacate our current temporary home at Fort Regent at the end of April 2026.
The project to rebuild the GRTTC has suffered delays due to a protracted insurance claim process; however, we are now close to being able to start work with contractors on stand-by.
While our committed table tennis community have already rallied to fundraise £100K through bake sales, a corporate league, sponsored events to bond agreements, yet we are still short of the final total we need to rebuild the GRTTC back to its former glory.
We are reaching out to local Jersey businesses and residents, the wider table tennis communities and sporting bodies (for grants) to support our final fundraising push to get us back home in 2026 to continue to support the ongoing success and growth of table tennis in Jersey. No donation too small.
