About Kairos Arts:
Kairos Arts charity uses therapeutic arts to nurture emotional health, restore hope, and support those with lived experience of trauma to rediscover their self-worth.
What we do:
- One-to-one work with Children and Young People (CYP): early intervention and trauma-informed therapeutic arts sessions that help children and young people express feelings, develop emotional regulation, and build confidence and trust within a safe and supportive environment. Each therapeutic arts session holds the potential for a moment of self-discovery where trust, creativity, and hope are met.
- Group work with Adults and CYP: Provides a safe, relational space to rebuild confidence, self-worth, and emotional resilience through small group therapeutic arts sessions. This work includes structured six-week programmes for:
- Those with lived experience of domestic abuse/sexual trauma with ongoing Drop-In sessions for past-participants;
- Mum’s who would benefit from improvement of their emotional health;
- Children in a school setting to support their mental health; and
- One-off wellbeing sessions in diverse settings for adults and young people.
All rooted in Kairos’ trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
Community Engagement
Our community engagement programmes nurture connection, wellbeing, and purpose through creative activities. In the heart of the community, we bring people together to create, converse, and contribute to the wider Kairos mission. Whether it's through our Stitch & Natter knitting community groups, or public events celebrating Children’s Day, the creative arts and community are at its core.
Training:
We facilitate and host training: equipping professionals, and parents with trauma-informed, creative, and therapeutic skills while nurturing wellbeing across the Kairos team and wider community. Through training, reflective practice, and wellbeing initiatives, we strengthen both capacity and connection, ensuring those who care for others are fully supported.
