Freeda's Committee Chair, Terry Morel, is taking on the 2026 Island Walk challenge on Saturday 20th June to raise much needed funds to support Freeda's services, helping to protect and empower women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. Terry hopes to raise £500 or more with your help.
The Island Walk route is 77km of coastline, beaches, dramatic cliffs and stunning countryside.

At FREEDA we are dedicated and passionate about our mission to support you and prevent domestic abuse. Our skilled and professional team is always on hand to listen while pro-actively seeking solutions to ensure your safety, designing support plans around your individual needs and wishes.
Our inclusive and accessible person-centred services are delivered in a confidential, non-judgemental, kind and respectful manner. All our services are free of charge and we will not turn anyone escaping domestic abuse away due to financial constraints, housing or nationality.
Our safe house can help you and your children (girls and boys up to 18) for up to 6 months if you are fleeing from domestic abuse. Our trained staff are there to give you emotional and practical support.
