About Rosie
Rosie will be taking on a challenge that means a lot to her.
Over six weeks she will be cycling 464 miles (746 km)-the same distance from our home in Jersey to the hospital
At the front of her bike will be Brave Bear. Her sister has an identical bear with her in hospital. Although they are separated by hundreds of miles, the bears remind us that we are never truly apart. They represent the love, hope and strength we continue to share, no matter where are journeys take us. Every mile I cycle, Brave Bear will be riding for both of us. The Bears are a small reminder that love travels any distance, that hope is something we can hold onto, and that no one has to face their journey alone.
This challenge isn’t about looking back, it’s about looking forward. It’s about celebrating hope, standing beside her sister as she continues her own journey, and giving something back.
We’re raising money for Family First, an incredible charity that supported our family when we needed it most. When a child has to leave the island for specialist treatment families face emotional, practical and financial challenges that few people ever see. Family First helps ease that burden so families can focus on what matters most- being there for their child.
Every mile Rosie cycles is a thank you for the support we have received and a way of helping ensure other families never have to face these journeys alone.

Family First Jersey
Sponsor a Brave Bear
When a child from Jersey needs medical treatment in the UK, their family faces a journey that is often overwhelming and deeply emotional. Since 2018, Family First has provided a dedicated Family Support Service to help families navigate this difficult time, ensuring they never face it alone.
Every child we support receives a Brave Bear to take with them to hospital, and we make sure their siblings receive one too. These small bears bring comfort, courage and a reminder that Family First is right there beside them.
Just £5 provides one Brave Bear to a child
Your support goes far beyond the bear itself:
£10 per month funds specialist emotional support books from our library for parents and children
£50 Enables us to provide a Family Support Worker to be there for a family, when they need support with accommodation and expesnes whilst their child is in a UK hospital
Together, we can make sure no family faces this journey alone. Every donation — big or small — helps Family First be there when families need us most.
